Dictate one idea per paragraph. Capture first and edit later. For dialogue or deliberately conversational prose, compare a minimally changed transcript with an optimized mode before making it the default.

Your practical comparison

Speak a rough paragraph, dialogue and a paragraph with a proper name. Compare meaning, tone and paragraph breaks against what you said. Check how easily you can undo a wrong replacement. The best fit needs the least correction on your actual writing.

When to choose differently

Do not apply automatic polishing to quotations unchecked. If you need to transcribe interview files, MacWhisper is a more suitable additional shortlist choice than a rough-drafting workflow.
